Storm Ledger Privacy Policy
Storm Ledger (“the app”) is made by Gulf Breeze Apps LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy is about the app itself. It is not insurance or legal advice.
The short version
We don’t collect, receive, sell, or share any of your information. The app has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything you put into it stays on your device.
What the app stores on your device
Only in the app’s private storage on your device:
- Room and item names, optional prices, purchase dates, and notes
- Photos and short videos you take or choose
- Your policy card: declarations-page photos, policy numbers, deductibles, and any insurer or agent contact details you type
- Which checklist reminders you’ve checked
- The time of your last backup export or import
We never receive any of this.
Photo metadata
Photos and videos can already contain information your camera added, such as when or where they were taken. The app doesn’t request location permission and doesn’t add a location of its own, but it keeps the files as they are.
Camera, microphone, and photo library
The app asks for a permission only after you tap the matching button:
- Camera: to photograph a belonging or a declarations page, or record a short video of a belonging.
- Microphone: only while you record that short video. The audio stays in the video on your device.
- Photos: to attach photos and videos you already have. On iPhone this uses the system photo library permission. On Android it uses the system photo picker, and the app doesn’t ask for broad access to your files.
If you say no, you can still type items and details. Nothing is uploaded.
Network
The app doesn’t send your inventory, photos, videos, or policy details over the internet. Checklist sources (Ready.gov, the National Weather Service, FEMA) are shown as plain text; the app doesn’t download those pages.
Exports and backups you make
If you create a PDF report or a ZIP backup, it goes only where you send it with your device’s share options (for example Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, email, or a computer). That copy is then covered by that service’s terms. We don’t receive it.
Security
Your data sits in the app’s private storage, protected by your device’s own security. The app doesn’t add a separate encryption layer. Exported backups contain your photos and policy details, so keep them somewhere safe.
Deleting your information
There’s no account to delete. To remove your data, delete rooms and items in the app or uninstall it. A PDF or ZIP you already saved elsewhere stays there; we can’t delete it, because we never had it.
Children
The app is a household tool for adults and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If a future version changes how data is handled, we’ll update this page and the effective date before that version is released.
