Storm Ledger Support

Need help? Email [email protected]. We usually reply within 2 business days. Include the app version (shown on the About screen), whether you use iPhone or Android, and what you were doing. Please don’t send policy documents or photos unless you want us to see them. We don’t have a copy of your inventory.

Common questions

How do I start?
Open Rooms, name the room you’re standing in, then add an item. A name is enough. Price, purchase date, notes, photos, and a short video are optional. To see how a filled inventory looks, tap “Preview with sample rooms” on the home screen, then delete the samples.
How many items can I add?
This version holds up to 50 items. Delete an item you no longer need to add another.
How do I make a report for an insurance claim?
Go to More → Claim report. The PDF includes your rooms, the prices you entered, your photos, and your policy card. Very large photos (over about 12 MB) are named in the PDF and kept in your ZIP backup instead.
How do I back up?
Go to More → Backup → Export backup and save the ZIP somewhere other than your phone, such as a cloud drive or a computer. Do this before every storm season. Your inventory is only as safe as your last backup.
How do I restore on a new phone?
Install the app, then More → Backup → Import backup and choose your ZIP. Import replaces everything currently in the app on that phone. It doesn’t merge.
A photo or video won’t save.
Photos over 25 MB and videos over 80 MB (or longer than 30 seconds) aren’t accepted. The app also won’t save if less than 20 MB of storage would be left free. Free up space and try again.
The camera, microphone, or photos aren’t working.
You can still save the item by typing. To allow access, open your phone’s Settings app, find Storm Ledger, and turn on the permission.
Does the app tell me what my insurance covers?
No. It doesn’t sell insurance, file claims, or interpret policies. Ask your insurer or a licensed professional. The prep checklist is general reminders paraphrased from public Ready.gov, National Weather Service, and FEMA pages, not a complete plan. In a storm, follow local officials.
How do I delete my data?
There’s no account. Delete the rooms, or uninstall the app. That doesn’t delete a PDF or ZIP you already saved elsewhere. See our Privacy Policy.
